First Against Tthe Wall

Okay, so what do you have against macho rhetoric?

Apart from the fact that it accomplishes absolutely nothing (except making the rest of the world think we're a bunch of trash talking morons), what bothers me most about all the macho rhetoric the politicians are heaping on us these days is that it gives me the distinct impression that they think the American people are so incredibly shallow that we need to be fired up by that sort of inane rabble rousing drivel. From "Sheriff George" and his "Wanted Dead or Alive" nonsense, to press conferences that sound more like a trailer for a Rambo movie, this September 11th thing has American politicians talking like a bunch of kids playing "Cow Persons & Native Americans." (Things just ain't the same since political correctness reared its ugly head.) Come on, guys, nobody who can feed themselves and tie their own shoes talks like that. This isn't the World Wrestling Federation or some sort of adolescent "peeing for distance" contest in a school yard, this is deadly serious organized terrorism in the REAL WORLD. Personally, I find it rather offensive that our so-called "elected representatives" apparently think that we are capable of nothing more than some sort of pathetic WWF mentality knee-jerk patriotism, but we can take care of that at the ballot box.

The fact of the matter is, every American with an IQ over 60 knows that, long after the last knee has quit jerking to the tune of God Bless America, we are going to have a dangerous and arduous task ahead of us that is about as glamorous as picking fleas off a dog (or out of Osama's beard). "We the People" know full well that the civilized world will never know peace until we have hunted down and exterminated every single individual in the Middle-East who supports, finances, encourages in any way, or even tolerates the concept of terrorism. Let's just hope that the politicians' resolve is as fierce as their rhetoric when it comes to busting the butts of some of the rich and powerful sheiks who are pumping oil money into their campaign coffers. 'Nuff said?
